About Michele
Michele has been a shutterbug since she was seven years old. She became hooked with her very first camera, a gift given to her by her parents. The year, 1959, the camera, a Kodak Brownie. At 7 years old, nothing was more fun than exploring her own backyard. Her photos were simple, a blade of grass, the neighbors dog or the crooked fence in the back yard. She says she can still remember the excitement of taking the camera to the corner drugstore to have the film developed. She couldn't wait to see what masterpieces she had created.
Today, armed with the enthusiasm of a seven year old and a digital camera she still loves to explore. The beautiful Colorado Rockies is now her backyard, her playground of choice, and the subject of many of her photos. Along with todays music scene, local events, abstracts, nature, animals and so much more, her portfolio is well rounded. Michele is still inspired by her own backyard and never tires of the stunning, beautiful land she calls home. She claims it is an outdoor photographers dream.
CATCHING A MOMEMT
Behind the lens, Michele captures her unique views using a Canon EOS 7D and an assortment of lenses. Her keen eye is always seeking that perfect picture, the candid shot, the unexpected. Knowing you never have the same exact lighting, the same scene or situation twice, she waits patiently for all the elements to come together so she can catch the magic of the moment and preserve it digitally.
She believes that life experiences are the best teacher. Her love of the outdoors, along with a lifetime of taking photographs, have given her all the skills she needs to capture the unique, expressive photographs you see today. Even now her ambitions are to re-create the masterpieces she ensued as a child by allowing her mood and surroundings to guide her.
Today she captures the drama, beauty and madness of what inspires her. A beautiful landscape, a sunrise, reflections in a pond, a simple silhouette or a rockstar giving it all he's got. A bonafide rock and roll addict herself, she loves music and claims there is always a song playing in her head. This easily explain her passion for concert photography. Her work takes her on assignment and her photos are showcased on the Rocky Mountain Entertainer, Bandana Rock and her music blog... Oh What A Show!
Although photography and music are her passions, some of Michele's other interests include writing, hiking, traveling, baking and stargazing. A recent college graduate with a degree in Digital Media, Michele looks forward to exploring new ideas, expanding her portfolio and most of all... Catching-A-Moment!
